what setup would sound better, and less raspier?
Right now I have a magnaflow catback and i love the sound of it. Im runnin stock manifolds right now but soon as LPP gets their new headers I'll be runnin LTs with a ORY( i know im just asking for rasp). But ive been thinking lately that I might trade my magnaflow in and get me and Loudmouth setup. Of course with this I would put a borla resonator in the I-pipe, but what I'm curious about is what setup would be more raspy? The magnaflow catback or the borlamouth? I checked Ls1sounds and the magnaflows with ORY seem pretty raspy, but their selection for borlamouth demos is pretty crappy.
So I guess my question comes down to, as far as having less rasp goes, which setup am I better off with? And if the borlamouth would be less raspy, how much would I be looking to spend on that XR-1? I ckecked borlas website and I have no idea which one people generally use.

Your car sounds great!! What headers do you have and Do you have a ORY or catted Y? Also which XR-1 did you buy and how much was it?
Sorry for all the questions but now that I heard that I think I really want a borlamouth.

Dont mean to hijack here but do you think it will still sound as good as Borlamouth if I did the XR-1 with a magnaflow catback instead of a LM catback? I dont feel like buying a new catback. And besides my magnaflow is stainless.
Thanks and sorry again.

I did the same things as detoxx....
Got mine from summit, the 40085, sounds much much better. And I like tips coming out of the back of my WS-6 so i didnt do true duals. I love my Borlamouth, get tons of compliments. Its more tame when you want it to be and mean when you want it to be.
This whole exhaust thing is like looking at chicks at a bar, some like legs, some like ***, some like hair, some like eyes, on and on.....listen to some other peoples setups in person, if you can and decide from there. Everyone has a different tolerance for sound, tone, rasp, drown, etc. You'll go nuts trying to figure it out. Bottom line, everyone here can help guide you in there own experiences and give you advice.....but in the end, your the one behind the wheel.....just my .02

rasp= a not so favored sound in an exhaust i dont really know how to explain it but it sounds louder in the cabin and outside it sounds like a truck. i get rasp from 22-2400 so it doesnt bother me. Hooker LTs, ORY, Hooker CB

I got qtp LTs, ORY, magnaflow catback. I get rasp at about 3k or so, haven't really looked. If I go WOT i can't hear it in the car, but if i go from a stop and go up to about 3k or so then i'll hear the rasp. If you let off the gas at that point you can kinda hear it. I really don't like it and i'm kinda looking for somethin else. Is there anything I can do? resonator? or should i look for something else?
