Default SLP muffler on a V6

I currently have a SS/WS6 muffler on my V6. I was wondering if anyone has heard a SLP muffler on a V6 because I loved it on my 3rd gen V8. Also I have not increase the size of the I pipe because I've heard it can cause power loss on the V6. The stock pipe is 2.25 would going to a 2.5 apposed toa 3 give me noticalbe gains?

I used to have a 98' v-6 with a 2 chamber dual outlet flowmaster that sounded great for a v-6. don't really like them on ls1 cars, but it sounded good on the 6 and is cheaper than the slp. i believe mine was a 3" inlet that was steped down to the factory pipe.
