Default TPS modification

I have seen a couple of products that somehow modify the TPS signal to the PCM. The idea is that it causes the PCM to switch to max performance mode at something like 80% throttle position instead of waiting until WOT (100% throttle position). Anybody have one of these or know anything about them? Thanks

I've heard of them, but I don't think it is worth it. Sure you may have WOT when not depressing the pedal all the way, but what about the butterfly inside the throttle body? It won't be nice and flat so the air won't travel as smooth and not as much air would go in either.

So to get the best performance, you would have to still press the pedal all the way to the floor.

I remember reading this in either CHP or Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. This mod definetly is worth it if you are willing to do it. The concept as the article stated was to send the car into bypass mode just like at wide open throttle. Obvisiously the throttle is not all the way open but when strapped to the dyno there was a noticable difference. I do not remember how much though. Every little bit helps especially more power at lower rpm.
