Default Proof that a catback is better than an open Y

A while back I ran a buddies 350Z and put 4 to 5 cars on him from a dig, this was with a Borla with no plate. Last night I ran him with an open Y pipe and only put a car on him.
Around the same time I ran the 350 I ran a fox from a 30 roll and put 4 or so cars on him with the Borla on, ran him with the open Y and he put a car on me from a 30 roll.
They both run 13.6's, the 350 at 104 and the fox at 106.
The Borla is going back on this afternoon
Waddafux up?

Your experience is far from proof...sounds to me like something isn't right with your car. There are too many variables that are unaccounted for...

What it is that the car's tune is designed around the cat back. That now you have taken all the restriction out of it. Get a proper tune and you will see the same results (if no driver error), if not better results.

Thats because its lean and needs fuel. I bet you have some knock retard which directly effects low end power.

if your getting this code i'd have to lean towards the knock sensor... my buddy with a 01 ws6 went to the track with a bad sensor (rusted it out from trying to wash his engine bay) and ran a best of 13.4 @ 102. after changing the rusted to **** sensor and thats all he did, went back and ran a best of 13.0 @ 106! thats 4 tenths and 4mph from just a bad sensor!
