They are too visible from the rear, im going with a round muffler that will fit better. Love the sound of the single chambers but they just wont fit, and I don't want to dump them.

Had them like that on my 69 Chevelle, too much drone. From outside the car they sound BA, but when you get a headache every time you drive the damn thing it gets miserable. I like being able to have a conversation and listen to my radio without major effort. Just not for me.

The bird's bumper must be different. This is as close as possible to the trunk pan and gas tank we could get.

I would take those off too. they look like chit from behind...... oh the bird in the picture had his rear floor pans cut out and raised like 3 inches just to make those work. And the rear bumper hangs a little lower on the bird also.

Single chamber Flowmasters will fit just fine after the axle, and not look stupid like those 2 examples above. Ever see a stock 1982 Camaro exhaust? I'll have pics of mine this weekend - so don't get rid of them just yet.

I can answer that.

- Ugly
- Interior drone
- Illegal
- Exhaust fumes come into the interior of the car at idle
- Tips look much better at the back bumper

I'm sure there are more reasons. I personally hate dumped exhaust. I think dumped exhaust has its place: track only cars and redneck farm trucks. For street cars, run it out the back.

Single chambers mounted at the back worked for me.

Really bad pictures though, and i still need to adjust the tips a bit, they are a little crooked still.

And also, I think that your rear would look just fine, if you painted the mufflers black, and got rid of those dumps. I think you would be happy with it then.

The dumps were not done the way I wanted them. I want them dumped behind the bumper so they are not visible from the rear. The guy who did the work is real cool and is fixing it free of charge.

You should give sweet thunders a try. They are about the same size as a bullit but have that bad *** chambered muffler sound.
