Default Help with mac headers

Im just about finished putting in my headers, my problem is how to hook-up a.i.r. The plate that a.i.r. hooks up is facing a different direction and Im not sure how to get it to fit. Does anyone have a pic of mac headers installed or know how to fix a.i.r?

I had to bend the **** out of the air tubes, just enough to get it to fit. I should've blocked them off and removed the air system to begin with.

You can bend the air pipes but I'd get some block off plates and ditch em all together.

Thanks Im going to have to bend the tubes first until I get a blockoff plate. I looked at a couple brands of headers and they all have the a.i.r mount going the opposite way, I dont understand why they made it the other way.

Had the passenger side shortened and welded....Just used heater hose to extend it. Its had the kink in it for 3-4 years now and 60-70k miles never had a problem.

Thanks

Exactly....I tried the top and it was a bitch, undid the motor mounts and the tranny mount then they slid right in from the bottom no problem.....you might have trouble with one of the runners on the drivers side hitting the fat part of the steering shaft, if so just grind down the fat part of the shaft a little bit, that's what i had to do

The only problem on mine was the casting tab on the block. Other than that no problems and went on from underneath.

I had hooker shorties w/AIR and ended up switching out sides between the AIR pipes AND bending them. Good luck
