Weight of LS1 shortblock? Vendor input appreciated.

Anybody know the weight of a stock LS1 shortblock? need to figure shipping charges.

I thought it was just a touch over 100 lbs. vs. iron block at 210 lbs' or so...but don't quote me....

the block itself is 100lbs. I think the crank is 40 and add a few more for the rods, pistons and cam.

A complete engine with no fluids weighs about 430lbs. A longblock with no intake / accesories weighs in around 390lbs. I've had a lot of sets of heads shipped to me and one box says 67lbs. That's with packaging too. I'd say a shortblock with no fluids weighs about 330lbs. They're heavy ******* if you ever try to put one where the passenger seat of a camaro goes by your self.

Haha, I thought I was the only one to try that. My block, wrapped in plastic came back to my house in my back seat with the seat belt strapped over it. lol.

Short block with pan isnt too bad. Me and another person lifted it to load and unload mine in the back of an SUV. Id have to say its under or right at 200lbs.

Ive shipped a few ls1 shortblocks Approx 165-180lbs (depending on with/without cam/oilpam etc)

I ended up here while trying to look for the weight. I need to take my engine out to work on it. Toying with the idea of slinging in an 383ci short block. However this vendor lists it as 60lbs, http://www.lingenfelter.com/product/LPELS1LS6SB383.html
Sounds way too light. If it's that weight I should be able to lift it out by hand.
