exhaust leak?

exhaust leak? does exhaust leak make me lose power. its leaking some from where the headers and y pipe join. also my y pipe bangs like crazy on the floorboard so does this maybe set off the knock sensor and pull timing.

Depending on how hard it's hitting it could be making the engine sense some knock. Easiest fix for that is to put a piece of heater hose in between the pipe and the floorboard. The leak could be letting cooler air into your exhaust which could affect your O2's readings and affect your A/F.

wont the heater hose melt because of the heat. if not then ill go get this **** fixed. its kinda embrassing with all that banging. gave a girl a ride after class and she looked at me funny and said whats wrong with your car. thanks for the input guys

I had the same problem, i took my car to a "shop" for a quote and the guy didn't put blocks on the lift (car is lowered), so the idiot lifted the car on the y-pipe. Put a piece of rubber there and done.
