EGR Removal question

EGR Removal question

I just got a catch can that attaches where the egr is on the front of the pass side head. I bought the egr/air headers and it came with one block off plate for the egr. Is it ok for me to disconnect this from the header and top of intake, unplug and detach so I can have my catch can? I believe that this is just a portion of the egr and I don't want to remove it all. Also what can I block the top of the intake off with?

You block the intake manifold off with a 1 3/8'' expandable freeze plug.

Does a freeze plug just get pushed into the hole and hold itself in, or do I have to do something else? I know what a freeze plug is, I've just never had to install one.

Yeah, they just pound in. If you don't want to use a freeze plug however, you can just take an expandable rubber plug (They've got a little wingnut that squeezes it wider) and use it instead.
