which hose in the water pump is the heater INLET hose?

which hose in the water pump is the heater INLET hose? well im flushing out my coolant in my car, i bought a preston flush kit, it says to connect the t conncetor on the heater inlet hose, well on the ls1 cars two heater hoses connect to the water pump, one is closer to the firewall and the other right next to it but towards the front bumper, which one is the heater inlet hose, i need to know to back flush my car plz help plzplzplzplz
