True dual question..

True dual question..
I have been wanting to put a true dual system on my car for a while.. Well, its time.. lol. I have a quick question though. Alot of the systems I have seen have really small, circular mufflers. I am looking at buying the Flowmaster Delta Force mufflers, which come in different sizes like 4"x10 and 3"x8". Does the size actually make a difference in sound or performance? And also, my local muffler shop was talking about just running 2 straight pipes off the header for each one. Most setups I have seen use a x-pipe.. Is this something I definately need to look into getting or is it just personal preference??
Thanks in advance,
Ryan

So, I may be wrong here, but are 1 chamber flows typically smaller?? I read what Force said and to me, it sounded like he was saying I needed to get 1 chambers or bullets.. I have seen people running the flowmasters dumped, but I just wouldnt know where to start looking for the "bullets" at..

I recommend Magnaflow. I had single chambers but I could not find a location for them over the axle that I liked. You could dump them or go under the axle, but being you are lowered like me I don't know if you would have the room. The measurements of the single chambers are 5.5in length, 3in thick, and 8in wide. Trust me I know. I tried every location to mount them.

Here is the link to my Magnaflow set-up, if you read through it you will find the link to the single chamber set-up. Hope any of this helps.

If you take the exhaust all the way out the back you have room for mufflers just before the tips. However I would suggest against flowmasters. They are notorious for robbing horsepower. I have seen many TD setups with magnaflows that can either sound really great with a loud tone or be quieter with a nice tone.

magnaflow magnapacks is a nice muffler duals. my roommate has it on his ta with a orh pipe and sounds good. it has a really deep tone to it, will cruising it doesn't annoy you as some mufflers will do. but at wot it sounds insane.

i have the pro-kit as well, i have an h-pipe set-up for my true duals and yeah you need a crossover pipe. i ran it 2 pipes dumped before the axle and it was crazy loud, think nascar hahahaha catless with loudmouth resonators when i had him put the h in it quieted it down some and made it a deeper tone, then bringin it out the back quieted it down in the cabin.

So, I guess what I should be asking is what mufflers are going to give me the most ground clearance along with a good, loud sound. I have a cutout right now, and it is pretty damn loud. I just really dont like the way the car sounds though with it uncapped.. I want the duals to show off the cam.
