Default intake question

Is this intake the same as my LS6 intake? Will I lose any hp? I want it because it's aluminum and I want to have it chromed and I can't do that with my plastic ls6 intake. Thanks!

I think those intakes flow almost the exact same as a ls6. I may be wrong but I am almost positive I read the flows numbers were very close

Pretty similar, but I've seen people complain about the quality of them.

For the fact that Weiands are a bit cheaper than the LS6's yet and they supposively have about the same flow, makes me wonder why more people haven't bought Weiands. I'd go searching see what you can find from people who have purchased them and what they thought after the purchase and being installed.

I think that is incorrect on my part. BBKs are the ones that I think flow better. Sorry bout that

Can the Fast 90 be chromed?

If you haven't noticed I'm going with an all black on the outside and the "bling" under the hood.

If you can afford to lose 10hp go for it...If you must have a aluminum intake look into the BBK.

I can't say as though I've ever seen pics of a chromed FAST intake, but I'm not sure why it you wouldn't be able to have one done in chrome.

Cause if it's plastic like the ls6intake I can't chrome it.. If there was a way to chrome the ls6 intake i'd do that and be happy

I could have sworn someone used to make chrome LS6 manifolds, and I know I've seen them from a certain street rod LSx series parts carrier. I can't post the name due to them not being a sponsor here.

i'm not sure about nylon, but fiberglass can be chrome plated and its no more metallic than the nylon of the ls6...if you've already looked into it then nvm, but if you haven't it might be worth a look-see.

Well i've changed my mind on what i'm gonna do. I changed my order on my Fuel rail covers from being black with chrome lettering to silver with black lettering. I'm gonna order the fast 90 or 92 or the weiand when it comes out and powercoat it black! Thanks for your help tho guys!
