Default My true dual, over-axle set-up (PICS&VID)

So I finally got around to putting this up for everyone to see.

My Dual setup, on a budget. All work was completed by me, wish i had a better welder at the time, the wire feed motor kept screwing up. i hate mig welding anyways, I need to get myself a TIG.

Well lets start off with what i have here:

-Flowmaster 3.00" U-Fit dual exhaust kit from summit racing-Thank you for price matching
-FlowMONSTER single chamber mufflers off ebay (Identical to my single chamber flowmasters on my other trans am, sound the same as well)
-FlowMONSTER cats
-Wagner brand band clamps
-Ebay exhaust hangers
-Ebay headers
-Whatever else.

Car is lowered 1.5" and the only time anything has scraped is in a apartment complex and it had stupid high speed bumps. A truck would have scraped. And i have drove the car over 3,000 since I put the exhaust on, and have no complaints, no rattles, no leaks, nothing yet anyways lol....

This is the "S type" of bend required for ebay headers if anyone has been wondering...PM for the seller i bought these headers from, not to confuse them with all of the differnet types out there

There is more clearance than this picture lets on...I might have adusted it a bit after i took this picture, the lowest part of the whole system is the drivers side cat. This is the only part that has scraped, and not by much.

Outside of car (next time ill turn off traction control)

Inside of car, windows up (Hard on gas, let off then back on.)

Any questions feel free to ask.

Sorry about the crappy pictures, I thought that I had better ones. O well.

Sounds awesome... and it looks like the set-up I have on my 2nd gen lol. I always wondered what that would look/sound like on a 4th gen car.

Damn thats not bad. Im getting about 17 in town with my check engine light on. But I have 4.11 gears too.

Exhaust sounds great too. Im thinking about swaping to a 1 chamber set up.

Sounds very good, deep tone, not raspy like some exhausts. And definite props on doing it yourself. And really who cares how the welds look? its all about what works.

exactly what he said, the welds are under the car so who cares what they look like, as long as they dont leak, that is all that matters, sounds amazing. props for a DIY job.

This may be a dumb question, but why go through so much trouble? Why not just dump them before the axle? This is not an insult to the original poster, just curious, since it seems like a pain to do on 4th gens.

Alot of people like the look of the dual exhaust out the back with tips. I personally think the cars with dumps look kind of plain from the rear. Plus i run dumps on my car and its alot louder in the car than running out the back and the worst thing is that they are turned down to reduce noise but they kick up all the dirt and dust from the road ect and the back of the car gets filthy after a mile.

It is a hell of a lot quieter in the car and almost no difference outside, and in some areas cops will give you a ticket for the exhaust not going out the back.

True, I would imagine it would be pretty loud with dumps. I would agree on the looks also. Thanks.
