intake hi, i'm new on here looking for some info on intake for the 5.3 motor.
it is out of a 2000 pick up i am putting it in a 61 olds,the stock intake manifold
is to tall to fit the stock hood can i put a corvette style intake on there without having to re engineer the the engine?

It will, however I'm not sure of the pcv system or the cooling lines and if you will have any clearance issues or not. I do know it will physically bolt up just fine as many people use 5.3 heads on LS1's, just not sure of the clearance but if there are any with the pcv or coolant lines it would just take minor modifications to fix it (i.e. griding a little on the botom of the intake etc.). Maybe somone else will chime in here that has done the swap to confirm.
