Installed LS6 intake...
what are these fins your guys are removing? also what do u do if u want to keep your EGR? and just a thought if gm rated 98 to 02 ls1 cars the same even though 01/02 got the ls6 intake than what makes anyone think there are going to be any gains in just an intake manifoldt??

I have a tsp 233/239 cam with stock heads and ls1 intake. i wonder what an LS6 would do for me power wise. i know its running out of breath at like 5500. im just not sure if changing the intake is gonig to help that much without changing heads?
I simply used 1" pieces of 3/8" rubber hose, sliced lengthwise to go around the bolts. Loosen, lift them up, place the hose around the bolts....done deal. I never heard of using laundry clips...another good idea.
Just pull the entire fuel rail off as one complete assembly and move it over to the driver's side strut tower. As long as you are careful and don't kink or break the lines, it should be fine.
