Default How can I tell????

I bought a 2000 Camaro SS a little while back. The guy said it had an LS6 intake on it but was going to take it off. I bought it the day after so I dont know if he actually did or not.....whats the easiest way for me to tell if I have the stock intake or the LS6 intake???

thanks

Look at the top buy the throttle body. The ls1 intake has a hole for the egr. If you dont have the hole there, its a ls6. Thats the easiest way to tell.

Find the serial number, Drivers side about the middle of the intake manifold the intake number for the LS6 Z06 is 12573572, if that's your number he did, there's probably different numbers if it's a different one though, just write that number down and google it, good luck. Here's a picture to help you find it.

Found you some more numbers

LS6 Z06 is 12573572

The old LS1 intake with the EGR setup is 12560688.

The Stock 2001-2002 F-body LS6 is 12561184.

I think you have to look at the bottom - maybe some corvettes had the ls1 intake without EGR, something like that. The LS1 intake has a hump running the long way on the bottom. The LS6 intake is flat on the bottom.
