Look there is no denial that SLP flows better. The problems some guys face is that with an aftermarket MAF they do not tune for it for every car has a different set up. Check your Air/Fuel ratio and ajust accordingly so u don't run too lean and run into detonation problems. On the other side if u're too rich adjust in the opposite direction. (Use LS1 edit to do that).
Usually with weather like KUWAIT (Hot and Hummid)problems of running lean are minimal; but I see u have a cam/heads so u probably already change ur tune. Double check on the Air/fuel mixture anyway and stick with SLP.

If you got the MAF that SLP says is for '98-'00
then it probably makes you run leaner than stock.
I have the '01-'02 version and it's neutral on
mixture.

Log your O2 voltages (the B1S1 and B2S1 or
whatever 'Tap calls the front O2s) and any
knock retard and misfire counts. If you have
the patience / spare time, I'd like to see
the same thing done with the stock MAF under
similar environmental conditions, and with the
PCM having adapted fully. You should be able to
see differences. MAP and airflow numbers would
also be good to log. An 85mm MAF with a lean-out
calibration scaling should show you higher MAP
(bigger MAF, better flow) and lower reported
airflows (calibration) at the same load & RPM,
relative to stock unit.

If you're over 900mV you might be rich relative
to best power. Some say lower, it all depends on
the exhaust gas temps as to what's really 12.7:1
(+/- a tick or two) AFR voltage on your sensors.
