can i adjust the idle or wait for tune? i have a new forged 347 with ms4 cam 5.3l stg 2.5 heads on a stock tune. i called the tuner and he said to put 500 miles on it and then hell tune it. anyway can i turn the adjuster screw on the throttle body to keep the blad open a little to raise the idle. Sometimes the car will die when coming to a light when it goes to idle. I placed a small 1/16" spacer to keep the blade open and it doesnt die anymore brings the idle up to around 850. Is this ok to do. can i adjust that screw or just deal with it until i get 500 miles on it and get it tuned. I have no problem dd this thing with the spacer.
Did you change your injectors also? If so, I wouldn't drive it at all till you get a tune. If you didn't change them, I wouldn't go over half throttle with that combo for those 500 miles. You could do some serious damage if you start going WOT all over the place.
