Those who have SLP headers...... what did you do about that wire harness that sits close or even touches the header on the passenger side ??
Is it safe enough to 'double wrap it' with that orange fire insulation tube ??
is it a lot of trouble to splice extra wiring to the harness and moving it further away ?? what kind of wiring did you use ??

I spliced extra wire into the harness for the crank position sensor (I believe) and wrapped the whole shebang with the orange fire sleeve and high temp tape on the ends. I tried to wiggle the harness around as much as possible to avoid contact, but it's damn close...no problems as of yet!
Re: Those who have SLP headers...... Mine is touching too. It's been a couple of months now..no problems yet...knock on wood! As for that orange wrap..its not as tough as you think..knocking on wood here!
Re: Those who have SLP headers...... It's been 18 months since my SLP's went in and I have had zero problems. I wrapped the wires in aluminum exhaust tape and then covered them with the Orange stuff.

Re: Those who have SLP headers...... My orange fire sleeve was touching the header for about a year without a problem. But it still made me uncomfortable, so I spliced all of the wires with approximately three feet of wire and rerouted the harness. Realistically, you probably don't have anything to worry about. But if you want piece of mind, splicing the wires and rerouting them is easy to do.

Re: Those who have SLP headers...... I've installed a few & I cut the whole harness open for as much slack as I could get.
It gave me enough room to keep the harness away from the header.
