The SLP Loudmouth has a really good muffler..... ok well maybe not a muffler... but it has a really good resonator.... ok maybe not a resonator either. It definitely has a good... strait pipe....

I don't know man, if ya didn't like the Borla or Corsa, it may be hard to find something that sounds good to you...
I've never really been happy with how the LS1 sounded(I've tried Random Tech, Borla, SLP LM) until I put on the GMMG Chambered Exhaust. Very deep and muscular unlike most other systems on this motor. 4" Mufflex with either the Spintech or Flowmaster sound very good too IMO. Or you could always try true duals, but they are kinda raw and very, very loud IMO.

I just called spintech to order a couple of their mufflers and the guys seemed professional enough. I can't wait to get these bad boys installed now.

Try the dynomax bullit muffler. It lets the true sound of the car come through. DO NOT GET FLOWMASTER!!!!!! I hate it, it pisses me off that when I rev the car sound like it dies. It doesn't sound powerful when it drops RPM much like spintech.

When I heard Spintech, the kid reved it, and then that was it, you couldn't hear the rpm drop at all. Kinda like it only makes noise when your on the throttle.

If I'm ever in Tampa, I'll come around and show ya what it sounds like. It (mine) definately does not sound like that. I work on the 2nd floor of an office building. I had the car wash guy take my car around back yesterday for a wash. I stood at the window wondering what my car would sound like (shoot, I'm always in the driver's seat!). The car was a good 50 yards away. He fired it up, the windows began to reverb. at the rhythm of the cam lope. When he revved into gear, it was loud (I don't know how my neighboors don't shoot me in the morning.)
As for the rpm drop, in my application, there is a sinister rasp that accompanies any rev. It's not a bad sounding rasp, but a wicked racecar sounding raspiness. This noise actually scares the crap out of people who don't know much about the car, as they usually respond with "man that sounds mean!"
