Re: Is a Corsa Exhaust loud????
depends what you call loud.
but it is definetly a step up from stock.
at idle it is very quiet, but once you start running up those rpms it starts to scream.
Also inside the car is what I am talking about, let a friend drive and you get a little special feeling inside you knowing its your car....
Everytime I let my friend park it or let my GF take it for a ride while sitting outside, I notice how much of a differance it is from being outside and inside the car....
And if you want throw on a set of LT headers, thats what I am in the process of doing.
Try this link http://www.derty.org you might cream your pants listening to some of his clips

Stock manifolds and cats and it will be very comparable to the stock sound, maybe a tone or two louder at the most. It's very reserved that way, enough to earn the GM seal of approval as far as non warranty voiding parts go.
With longtubes and cats, it will really wake up. A lot! With no cats it will get a little louder. Most of the clips on my site are going to be either way. The drive by videos are with no cats, the idle and rev videos I believe one was with and the other was without.
Then there is the mother of all Corsa sounds when you put it under a 382 solid roller with a decent size cam. It's very prostock-ish and probably the loudest damn thing I've ever heard. I have a couple clips of that before I ultimately went to true duals to save weight. Unfortunately the Borla XR1's are now the loudest things I've had on the car. It's pretty cool.
Once the Cannibal has some videos up you'll be able to hear what the same exhaust sounds like on a 427 mild hydraulic.

After the 382 Solid Roller, no tuning.

Let me take back what I said earlier, for a WS-6 going to Corsa you will notice a differance, but going from a Trans Am catback to Corsa you will notice a big differance anywhere above 1500rpms, not insane loud, but crisp and refine like Mozart!!!

YES YES YES!!! In about 5 days I should have my QTP LT headers and catted y pipe on and ready to go
Steve correct me if I am wrong, but weren't you an MN6? I guess you converted to a auto.

Yes it did have a M6 as of a month ago. At the NMCA race here I broke the 12 bolt and the T56 in one shot. I got pissed and bought a Rossler TH400 and have been running that since. It's sooooo much better for racing. I'll rebuild the T56 this winter and maybe build a second car for racing.
