Yeah, I wasn't in the mood to do it today, so I just put the car back down and put everything away, i'll do it next weekend, I wanna relax and enjoy my holiday weekend! You had to remove the starter to get the pass one in? How high did you have the car, I didn't have to remove it, but I had the car so high the rear bumper was almost touching the ground, ahha, looked like one of my launches!

my car hasnt ran since i put it away last year. i am ready to drive it and what a set back that driver side is. car is as high as i could get it, did pacesetters twice with same height. oh well i'm sure the solid mounts will be worth the install problem in the end

Whether you had solid mounts or regular mounts, i'm pretty sure you still would've had to pull the pedestal to get these in, don't think it's a solid mount problem. I hear ya on wanting to drive the car, mines been down a little over a year, I still have to get a throttle body and injectors though, so that's why it wasn't too big of a deal and i'll just do it next weekend, no if I had everything to be able to start her up I would've been really pissed, but just kept goin and got the bitch runnin!

Yeah, I got bored this morning and went ahead and put the drivers side one in, removed the drivers side mount and had to do the same with loosening the pass side mount on the bottom so I could lift the motor up a little.

Already had the motor dropped when I got these in. No problems here.

I disagree....i received one of the first sets and they went in with no problems.

from my inspection they are nicer than pacesetters and absolutely fantastic for the price. I inspected them closely and dont think they need any improvement, your getting more than your moneys worth for a ceramic coated 1-7/8 direct fit header.

I give them a solid 8.5/9 rating and was very impressed with them.

You didn't have to remove the motor mount on the drivers side? How is that possible, there was just no other way to get it in that I could see.

I'm curious about this too, I'm looking to get headers + true duals from TSP, not sure whether to go pacesetters or the TSP 1-7/8. The small price difference doesn't make much difference to me, but if the TSPs are such a pain to install then I'll definitely go with the cheaper pacesetters.

It's worth the extra hassle, these headers are working really well and the car is running awesome!!!!!!

buddy of mine had this problem and found out that the motor mounts were bad and it was letting the motor sag and hit the tubes he replaced the stock motor mounts with solid mounts and the problems were solved.

Weird, I have a ton of room between the header and the steering knuckle on mine.

well ive got the polyurethane mounts that only have a couple thousand miles on them, im probably gonna grind on the steering shaft a bit, its right below the knuckle where it gets big and goes over the shaft itself. its catching that edge right on the front side of the header tube. i really dont wanna change motor mounts, its a pita, and i wore out on working on this thing.

oh my god, these headers make a god aweful raspy poppy sound with my tsp 3in. ory and 3 in. cutout. its horrible from 2200-2600. even when i have it capped you can still hear the raspiness from 2200-2600. has anyone else had this same problem. its really unbearable.
