Pacesetters or Kooks?
The pacesetters are on my '99 and with that car I took the approach of "good mods on a budget". It was a DD at the time and I could not go crazy on spending as I have more expensive cars plus a (primarily) track car to support. I bought many of the mod parts slightly used, negotiating good prices for parts in good condition.
Anyway, Pacesetters fell into that category and I purchased and installed them. The Y-pipe banged when letting in the clutch from a stop, so I got the Mufflex hanger - no luck - even after adjusting it several times. I eventually had to wedge a small pad of fireproof asbestos and the banging was cured. Other than that I have no regrets. The coating has held up pretty well and they sound good and seem to have delivered a noticeable power gain (didn't re-dyno the car... not yet).
Bottom line is that I'll repeat what others have already said: The Pacesetters are good bang for the buck, but if money is no object, get the Kooks.
If you plan on keeping your car for a long time buy the kooks.Even if you have to save a little longer to get them. You get what you pay for.If you don't have any money you could
buy the pacesetters. But they are basically junk. It's your car and what makes you happy is really the bottom line.

You beat me to it, Sweetbone.
Also, I told you when you bought the big tube Kooks from me with the tubes being so big and you still being on stock K you will need to notch to get them to fit. I also told you that the engine will most likely need to be lifted off the motor mount to get them to install easy.

Anyone have anymore info on those?
I will post some pics next week. Search QTP and you will find many leaky weld issues, customer service issues and a crappy fitting Y. They are a great power making design though. If I did not get ARH I would have gone Kooks.
