Default Magnaflow vs Hooker

What would you choose?

Hooker 3" catbacks with dual/dual tips
http://marylandspeed.com/hooker-3-ca...hkr-p-792.html

or

Magnaflow 3" catbacks
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Need a bit of input, my car is a 2000 z28 pewter and I thought the black on the
Hooker would look cool but is it a good muffler and piping?

i've had two of the hooker cat backs, i think they are good system, with lt's sans cats, i thought it was a little loud (blatty) on accleration, had a good tone at cruise.

here is a link to the sponsor special section, https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/918824-f-body-cat-back-sale.html They will both be almost identical in every way. But i would spend the extra $40 and get the magnaflow because it is all stainless and you will never have to worry about rust or anything like that.

I gotta toot my own horn here, I've had both the magnaflow and hooker with headers and ory and I still think my current setup has the best sound out of the three.
I currently run edelbrocks catback
only downfall is the muffler is not stainless but I dont drive in shitty weather anyway.

I'm happy with my hooker catback. I chose it over the similarly priced magnaflow because of a couple things:

-It's cheaper than the magnaflow system
-The car spends most of it's time in AZ and rarely if ever sees rain, so not having stainless was no big deal to me
-I feel the hooker has a better sound. It's a lot more throaty and has a deeper more badass tone to me the the magnaflow system, which kind of sounds like every other truck out there to me
-The hooker livens up great with LT's and ORY, where some other catbacks sound worse when you stray farther from stock exhaust (Loudmouth, etc.)

Hope this helps!

^ just a couple of things. Just because your not around rain that much doesn't mean that your exhaust won't rust. It will.
The magnaflow sounds so much better with LT's and ORY. Its much to mild with the stock manifolds and cats.
If you ask me I think you could say the hooker is better in one way.... sound. And that's personal prefference really. I think the Magnaflow sounds better. I wish I would have kept mine. Its really a nice setup.

I was never a fan of my Magnaflow, nice quality stuff, just didn't thrill me and I hate those style slash cut tips. I'd recommend the quad tips period. I've never seen or heard the Edelbrock, but that would be interesting. I've heard the Hookers flow well and dyno well. Prolly the same to be said about Magnaflow. Stainless means a lot to me, as I ended up with another Borla, but I think I've heard they are very restrictive with any of the plates except the 3" hole. I'm wondering if there is a better muffler I could try in my Borla.

I have the Magnaflow catback with a MAC ORY and I absolutely love it. I my opinion its the best sound exhaust out there. Its nice and deep and gets loud when you punch the pedal.
