Default Bullet Muffler on stock exhaust w/ cutout?

Hey guys, Im new to the site. I just purchased a 2000 Camaro z28. I want to make my exhaust loud (who doesnt) but not unbearably loud. I was thinking about getting a cutout on my stock exhaust along with a magnaflow or borla bullet muffler to get rid of the rasp. I was leaning more towards the magnaflow because its cheaper and it sounds almost like the borla, nice and deep and not too raspy (so ive been told). I would rather put that money into a ported throttle body and whisper lid. What do you guys say? Get a bullet muffler with a cutout (with the stock muffler) or just get a bullet muffler and make a cat-back myself?

If i were to leave the stock piping on and just cutting out a portion to fit the bullet muffler. What size bullet will I need? I hear 3'' is about right, but the piping is only like 2.5'' ??

How much would it be for the muffler shop to create a cat-back from the axle back? (from the bullet muffler to the tail pipes.)

Thanks

Well I figured if I added a bullet muffler it would make it sound better.
