Here are a couple from the side of the car to give a little better idea on clearance. It isn't great, but still better than QTP's original design, IMHO.

Try to get a custom one made if you can.

Yeah I've got the QTP QTEC Y-pipe on my car and am seriously considering swapping it for a custom job and putting the new DMH Low profile cutouts on it.

WIth the QTP y on there now it scrapes all over. even the motors for the QTECs have been scraped a bit.

I just ordered two Magnaflow 59959's and am going to have a custom one fabbed up with mandrel bent stuff. Our local guy offers aluminized for $225 or stainless for $300 with me bringing the cats. He makes his own collector, which I haven't seen, but I guess anything is better than my makeshift Pacesetter. If I had to to it all over again, I'd go with ARH and be done.

Grifter, I see your running Grots. I have Grots on my car and I dont really care for them. They rub the subframe on the drivers side. Who made that Y pipe. Mine is a custom one and it sucks ***. Also are your headers thin. Mine are so tinny sounding.

I have Kooks 1 7/8 headers, Kooks y-pipe and Borla catback with my eletric opener in the "ajustable plate" location so I can change the sound on the fly

I am ordering my Fast 92 setup hopfully today. My goal is to get over 500rwhp and run a 10.90ish on motor
car dynoed 470, and went 11.34@120 with 900 miles on the new motor and I think as break in goes it should gain alittle from that, then adding the manifold that my motor really needs, because as of now it sucks the LS6 dry, the little 78mm TB and LS6 manifold just cant keep up with the 396

I bought the car with the Grot's. The previous owner said they went in fine and he never had any problems, they don't hit anything for me. My car only has 16K miles and I think the headers have around 10K, they don't seem too thin compared to the others I have seen. There's a little surface rust which is to be expected. I have a custom Mufflex y-pipe.

I have the Hooker Y-pipe, no issues what so ever, the tiniest bit low to the ground but I can go over speed bumps fine. I'am not lowered though.

My 2 cents.

I have the Qtp Y-PIPE and it fits ok, except I cant find a tunnell brace to fit. I had to have the 4 inch section welded too. Theres no reason to have a clamp on each end of the reducer anyway.
