LS6 with EGR, or BBK SSI?? OK i want an intake with egr provisions...
ive been looking for a used slp ls6 intake with egr provisions for about 2 months now....
only way to get it is new for $550!!
or get the BBK SSI 85mm intake with the egr provisions for $400
nerver know maybe ill yous nitrous in the future too.
and will bbk intake bolt right up and fit the stock TB??
also heard that bbk is just slightly better than an ls6 intake.

eh there is some argument either way. there is probably only a few HP difference. people say the bbk heat soaks but is better if you want to spray. the ls6 stays cooler and flows as good or maybee better. i think the bbk works with all the stock stuff. i like my ls6.
I am really happy with my BBK intake. Just remember that if you do upgrade to the BBK, it has a 85mm throttle body opening, so i would take advantage of that and get a Professional Products 85mm TB from Byunspeed.com for about 185.00

....after we installed the BBK SSI intake and matching 85mm throttle body, the peak numbers jumped to 489 hp and 450 lb-ft, for gains of 27 hp and 14 lb-ft. The BBK intake suffered no loss in power at any rpm compared with the stock LS1 unit, offering gains from 3,000 to 6,500 rpm, with significant gains occurring past 4,000 rpm.

another thing you may want to consider if your keeping egr for emissions you may also want to consider the LS6 since it looks stock... the BBK will catch the eyes of most techs if not all
normally a LS6 coolant line is provided with the LS6 manifold and block off plates for the rear inlets for the heads. Otherwise you would have to grind down the ribs on the LS6... don't know much about the BBK, would assume they have everything provided too

I've got the SLP LS6 manifold. It's great so thats where my vote is going. The only problem I had with it is cutting the EGR pipe thing and using the new set up thing to get the pipe into the manifold but again it's minor.
