My Dynatechs did the same thing. Got it welded shut with a wire feed welder without having to remove anything. 5 minutes work. But isn't it amazing how much that little stainless steel tube and block off plate weigh? Mine developed a stress crack and the LS1s vibration did the rest. It does make a hell of a racket and make you think you got something seriously wrong though.

Just happened to me on my qtp long tubes was running them open heads cause needed a custom y-pipe and blew the thing off straight off the damn header lol.
