Default heat

i was wondering if anyone was having any problems with there cars heating because of there intake
im not sure of the name
but my intake picks air up from the botom of the car and its blocking about 8-10 inches of the radiator.
and i notice the car was running a little bit hotter then normal last night
and was wondering if an one else was having this problem
and if so other then removing this system if ther were any other soltions for fixing it

thanks

sounds like the cold/ram air like fast toys makes. always wondered how blocking off that much of the radiator didn't hurt anything.

What year is your car? 98's have a somewhat useful temp gauge, 99+ cars' gauge will read the same temp for anything from 185-220 or so. Even though I got a 160 stat and reprogrammed fans, the temp gauge is almost exactly where it was before, even though the car is running like 25-30 degrees cooler.

My point is, how do you know it was running hotter?
