Default best maf for stock

is there anything such as a plug-n-play unit for a stock car? i was wondering if just the ported ends would do or i have also seen some using the corvette mass airs. is this a plug-n-play option?

the only mods right now is a lid and im about to order a ported throttle body and was just looking for a maf to go along. thanks

just get the ported maf ends, work great, a bigger maf is not necessary unless we are talkin 500+ hp, most tuners have a better time tuning with the stocker also

the stock MAF will handle 500 HP...

I have been thinking of getting a 85mm truck MAF though....

you need a 5 wire for that though, anyone know how to go about that

EDIT: i descreened mine. Some A4 cars when they descreen the MAF have problems and it seems the M6 guys don't have problems

x4 for stock...money is better spent in other places. If you get heads and/or cam in the future go with a truck or Z06 MAF and have the car tuned.

I'm new to all of this stuff. How do I know what MAF I got when I bought my motor? the seller said it was a Z06 MAF I think.

Something about 85mm

If he said Z06 it is an 85m MAF, also go count the MAF wires, if there are 3 then it is stock, if there are 5 wire it is an 85mm MAF

Well all I can say is my Granatelli MAFS works fine by 'fooling" the sensor into sensing a lean situation and fattening up the motor for additional fuel and power..my tuner confirmed this...see my sig and you will see.

Cool, thanks.

I googled the part number and it came back a truck or LS6 MAF

It has 5 pins for the wire hookup and the part number is: 25168491

now i think you need to adapt your MAF 3 plug to accept the 5 wire MAF
