LS6 intake install!!

LS6 intake install!! Well today I installed my LS6 intake! It was not too bad. Took me about 4 hours and that was removing everything, grinding on the bottom of the LS6, making an EGR block off for the headers, attempting to install, breaking and repairing the oil pressure sending unit wire, breaking the oil pressure sending unit while attempting to install again, going to Orielly auto to get a new sending unit, and finally finishing the install. It seems like no matter how careful you are you will break that mother f****r. Car runs great and it seems to have a little deeper sound in the exhaust. Anyway, I have a question: Does the oil pressure sending unit start to show less pressure as it gets older? Before I changed it my oil pressure was areoun 35 to 40 psi when fully warmed up. Now with the new unit I am having about 55 to 60 psi while warmed up. Works for Me!
I broke the oil pressure sending unit when I did my heads/cam/oil pump last October. My oil pressure is 60psi at idle now - I bought the pump from a member so I didn't know if maybe the relief spring was shimmed or the spring was a stiffer version. But maybe the new oil sensors are off. A mechanical oil pressure gauge would tell for sure.
