Guys,
Easy solution for over oiling.
After cleaning & re-oiling or when new, put the filter on a highly absorbant paper towel (3-5 min max)
Repeat for other side and voila! properly oiled filter with no extras, simple HUH.
After using this method i had much less deposits on MAF and TB, to the point that once a week I only used a light rag to just wipe the thing off.

Re: Any of you run a K&N or Holley without... I agree WILWAXU. Back on topic. I tried running without a filter many times. I literally saw no gains. The track I race at is extremely dirty so I know I got tons of dirt/debris in the motor.
I think we are all on the same page that you must oil your filter, but don't overdo it.
