LT headers with stock WS-6 exhaust

So if I were to get LT's and cut the stock to fit them in place would my gain be very good? Just wondering how hard it would be to fit things up and what kind of increase I may see. I know doing the whole system would be the biggest gain but like having no rattles and a quiet system.

Headers will be a good gain regardless. Shouldn't rattle or clang around if it is fastened up properly. I would have flanges made to adapt the 2 together.

The amount of heartache it would cause to make the say merge the headers on the stock y would still restrict the Longtubes IMO. I would just buy a ORY/catted Y and hook it to the stock catback. If your looking at headers that bold right up, I would have to say get a set of shortys, they would be alot more suited for what your looking for and bolt right to the stock Y pipe.

That is alot of work in itself. The y pipe is flatened and the collectors on almost all longtubes are about 3' then getting a pipe to flaten to match the stock y would be a pain in the ****. You can get as set of Pacesetters and catted y for pretty cheap($700) which is pretty good and make great power. I'm about to get rid of my Hookers and get a set or the new TSP 1 & 7/8s for another $100 on top the price of the pacesetters.

Are you asking if you can keep the stock catback? Answer is yes

Or are you asking if you can keep the stock flattened y-pipe and catback? Answer is NO.
