Only if you're driving w/ the hood off and the sun's beating down on it

Honestly, not sure it really matters on the color...it's dark in there.

BTW, they both look very nice!!

Default temp

The inlet temp would be pulled off of the IAT, so it'll be kinda hard to see a difference downstream of the IAT in the intake.

My bet is they are both them same.

true powdercoating is done by changing the electrical charges on something. i find it highly unlikely that electrical charges could easily be manipulated on plastic to yield a true powdercoat...the plastic used for those intakes is a thermoset so heat should not damage it. not saying that whatever you used is not a reliable process, but until you post up how you did it, im doubting its powdercoat.

Default no secret "HOT FLOCK" it

The powder is a plastic. A very fine plastic. Bring the piece up to temp., pull it from the oven, then shoot. the fine plastic, (or powder coat) will stick to the substrait (intake). Bake until powder starts to gloss over, pull part and be sure you coated everywhere, if you did, your good put it back in and cure, if you didnt, shoot it again, and continue until you get good coating.

No secret, go to a powder coating site and search "HOT FLOCK" and you will find out for yourself. You DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT have to have a charge to shoot powder, but it sure helps to not waste alot of powder.

I dont know if it has been done on a FAST, but I have been told the FAST intakes will take up to 650 degrees, which is well above any powder coating cure temp. So in theory its doable, but I dont know anyone in Cali so I cant help you there.

Cool! Are the ports blocked to keep the inside of the manifold from getting coated too?

why not just take to a powder coat shop?

i have a powder coat gun, and an oven, ive done couple calipers, and from what i understand all u gotta do is preheat the manifold then spray it, then cook it, pretty simple, i might try it on my fast

i would think the lid may not take enough heat like the intake. anyone try? or test on their old stock one? i would be interested to see if you caould get them to match.
