can i just get one off a car from a junk yard or is it not worth the time and should just buy new?

 

I would buy new. or atleast used from a member on here. Never know what your buying at a junk yard.

 

Mostly everyone buys them used. If you can find one at a junkyard I'd say do it but they're a little hard to come by there. As long as you clean them out real well you should be fine. Look closely at intakes from cars that have been in accidents or had pistons melt.

 

Holy **** you think you can find a LS6 intake in the junkyard? Good lucj with that, if I ever seen one I'd nab it in a second.

 

Run the part number on it if you find one

 

i barely see a Lt1 f body at the junyards, and when i saw it it was all stripped of motor tranny

 

I have an LS6 intake lying around. PM with an offer if interested.
