quiet down duals
quiet down duals a few days ago I had a thread about checking clearances on my duals. The duals worked great! clearance is amazing, way better than any other exhaust (heck, way better than my subframe mounted torque arm). Ran 3" pipe with magnaflow 4x9 mufflers with an x pipe.....turned it on.....sounds really nice, deep, and very bassy. The only problem is (maybe I am feeling old or something) is that it is waaaaay too loud for me. I am very afraid that I will back out and be surrounded by police. I can't comprehend how some of you guys want it louder 
basically I have a set of moroso spiraflo's from my old drag setup. As long as flow will not be too compromised I am considering running the spiralflo's as resonators and then runnning the magnaflow's as the muffler, unless someone can convince me otherwise.
It truthfully might just be that I have only been able to start my car in the garage on jackstands and the sound is reverberating, but considering right now I have turn downs I would imagine the sound would stay consisent with what I hear now. any one have ideas? or know any mufflers that still flow well but are quieter than magnaflow 4x9?

I personally wouldn't run the Spiral Flows as resonators just yet. The good news is: If you decide it really is too loud and weld the spiral flows in, you probably won't be choking up the exhaust too much, considering those 4x9s are a straight through design. Take the car out, drive around a little, listen to it outside of the car out in the open. The 4x9s are an awesome muffler. That's what I had on my duals and if I were to get another dual setup, I'd run 'em again.
A magnaflow is loud in a garage. My dad says it's "ear piercing" when I start it up in the garage. My car makes a "vroom" sound when she first starts up then after half a second idles like normal. I work midnights and dd my car. Keep it under 2k rpms and you shouldn't have a problem except for the first start up. I have sweet thunders. Not sure if they are louder or not that yours.
Anywayzzzz I would just leave it and Drive it about a week or so. Don't wanna go messing with it while its in the garage. Mine is ran out the back... maybe that quieted it up a little?

put tailpipes on it. Mine was crazy loud before I had it ran out the back. Dumps tend to make it really loud inside the car. Mine is no louder than my magnaflow I used to have since I ran the pipes out the back
I have the 2.5" dumped with 4x9 magnaflows and my car is not loud at all, esecially compared to the flowmaster that was on there with a y-pipe. My duals are actually quieter than that lol. But I don't know what would quiet that down though, good luck bud.
I think I am just going to run it out back with just the mufflers and see if that quiets it down
maybe the way mine is an lt1 has something to do with how loud it is. I am going to take it off stands when I get home and drive it down to street to see if maybe it was a mixture of midnight and garage resonance that made it so loud.
