My SLP rubs on my hood but I have the stock bellows. Looks like I have to my bellows.

so it seems it's just installation is the key maybe... m'kay so i'll make sure i get the bellows with the hood... thanks for the tips

My SLP rubbed with stock bellows and my FastToys lid doesnt rub with my smooth bellows. Im sure it is because of my hood, but the FastToys lid works perfectly for me.

My 2000 Z28 hood rubs my newish SLP lid (bought last summer)...BUT I think my hood latch/stops might be just a tiny bit low since it BARELY rubs. The hood doesn't look low, but I can just barely feel it when I am drying the car off, pewter hides a lot of allignment stuff sometimes.

I have a SLP lid and it doesn't rub at all. I thought that you only have problems when you put an aftermarket lid on a car that was originally a SS or WS6. The filter housing/radiator support thing sits up higher on those cars becuase of the ram air. FWIW

Mine's a WS6 and (as posted above) no issues ever. Maybe I just got lucky on the fit.

Having tested a lot of lids, we can tell you that most SS cars rub on just about any aftermarket lid. There is a bit of a production tolerances between cars so a few cars don't rub but most do.

WS6 cars have the most underhood clearance so they don't often rub any any brand of lid.

Using any aftermarket bellows typically contributes to lid rubbing problems as the straight rigid kind forces the back up the lid up against the hood.
