Default going from true duals to gmmg and catted y

i'm thinking about switching to a catted y and gmmg catback. i have true duals/no cats right now and it is just too loud. will i have a noticeable power lost? it's a 11.5 ms4 motor that put 455 at the wheels.

I don't think you will notice a huge loss. If anything, it will sound better due to less rasp. Weld in an electric cutout so that you can be loud again...when you want to.

Put a cutout on the y-pipe and you'll be good to go. I put dual cutouts on mine, but only did due to the added displacement. You would probably be fine with just one cutout on your I-pipe.

Why not add cat's to your current setup? I have 2 cat's into edlebrok mufflers that dump before the axle. Its loud, but nothing like it was before I put cat's on....Just a suggestion

Its an easy fix. Put a little bullet in the I-pipe and your ready to go again. Some people don't like rasp. I'm one of the few that likes a little bit so it doesn't bother me if it does. All the sound clips I've heard of the GMMG I like, ORY or not.

i put cats on mine, then moved the super 44's to the stock muffler location with under axle pipes. Can't hardly hear the exhaust in the car anymore and it really has an old school muscle sound now...
