um... i tried to get to my #8 this morning from the bottom... and yeah, I can't for the life of me figure out how exactly i'm supposed to reach up from the bottom.
I can't even see where the headers hit the block, much less the spark plug/wires... or how to get there.

They were purchased from GM Perfromance Parts ... they are in their catalog ... I paid $102 a piece ... there are no PVC hook ups with them ... I use a LS6 valley cover and PCV valve along with a breather in the oil fill hole on the pass valve cover...ended up welding a baffle under the oil fill hole to deflect the oil spray coming off of the rocker arms....that way the breather did not get soaked with oil....I wash out the breather once a month with brake clean and blow it dry with compressed air..works good for me...been runing it like that for 2 and a half years and about 65,000 miles...no oil in the intake and no oil consumption unless you consider a half quart every 5,000 miles excessive..

Click on the link I posted earlier. Not too bad from the top and for me it wasn't too much harder than any of the other plugs. good luck

Simple. Remove coil packs on passenger side (entire bracket w/all 4 packs attached). Reach hand right back there (when kneeling on the car battery). You can now use a normal ratchet and sparkplug socket. When reinstalling coil packs, only put in front 3 bolts. That way, it only takes about 40 min. to do plugs from then on.

I always have it up on jackstands and remove the starter and get it from the bottom. There are only two bolts holding the starter in place and I let it swing from the wires. This is the only way I can get to #4,6, and 8.

Install some headers. Makes changing the plugs easier.

I left the furthest back bolt on that coil pack out and just take off the entire coil pack assembly. Don't take me no time from the top. Still get some scratches; but I call those battle scars!

If you pull those plastic fasteners up that hold the plastic grill over the top of the cowl and the weather strip you will not get scratched or in your case "battle scares" while working un the cowl...this is unless you like to bleed..

Yeah, I always mean to do that. I just get focused on the other things and forget to do it. Plus, when I get scratched up, I get a nice chance to vent.

+1 Same way I do mine. Learned it here the first time I changed mine.

Also I've done the AIR delete on mine, gives you a little more room.
