Default Stainless Steel Works headers install problems

Anyone have problems installing these headers? I a bought these about a year ago and only now installing these. I've had to drill out the drivers side header bolt hole to fit. The drivers side header seems to hug to close to the body that the y pipe can't fit on or the y pipe is missing a bend the fit onto the header. Not sure if the jig was off or what. Any suggestion on fixes?

I had a problem with my passenger side... But I just left it like that without a bolt. It was freakin hard to get it up there. I had to remove the starter and some plug... What I noticed though was that my Driver header pointed out a bit. But I guess I solved my problem by getting a ORY custom made here locally so they made the bends them selfs.

I see. I just reamed the header bolts so they fit. But now running into problems getting the y pipe to fit. Seems like the header doesn't hang down far enough. It's got only about 1/2in between the body and the header. Not enough room to angle the y pipe onto it.

Could you loosen the header bolts a bit and tip the header down a bit to give you some room to work with the y?

You may have to take it somewhere for them to tweak your y a bit.

I didn't have the bolt hole problems you guys are talking about but did have issues with the catted Y not fitting properly. It was just another excuse I needed to dump it for a true dual setup. I found the headers to be very high quality and the fit is awesome. I've removed them several times and never had to remove the starter. I always remove the plugs though. Have you called SSW about this? There is no reason to have to be drilling out the flanges on a $1k+ header setup.

Loosening the header bolts won't give me enough clearance. These headers for some reason huge the body tight. I'm going to give SSW a call tomorrow. I just PM'ed the guy that sold them to me. I think he's black2002ws6. Hopefully find out whats u with these things. The bad thing is I'm getting deployed again on thursday for a while and won't be able to do anything with them till I get back.

Yup Rex it's me. Can't wait for my car to be done. Thing should rip up the roads when It's done. It was fast before.
