Default 2OTL Pics

I have searched for quite a while and only came up with about 5 or 6 different pictures and some are the same car. I'm currently fabbing up my true duals into a 2OTL setup. I love the way it looks and hopefully it will sound better than my dumped bullets that I had before.

I also need a couple measurements form the SLP system......

1-How far do the tips come back? Where on the bumper do they sit?

2-How far are the tips spread apart?

3-How far are the tips staggered if at all?

I was going to bring mine back almost flush with the bumper but set back underneith just a little bit.

I had my mock up tips 1/8" apart and they were staggered about 1/8" also but should be about 1/4" IMO to follow the body line better.

I you have some pics under the car to show where the tailpipes run and how far they are out I'd really appreciate them.

Thanks in advance

Were the tips offset a little bit? Meaning did the one on the left, looking from the back, sit in a little farther in than the one on the right?

I'm basically trying to copy the SLP kit and the 04 GTOs but make it tighter to the bumper and try to make it look a little custom too. I'm probably going to paint or powdercoat the tailpipes black also.

I'll check out the other sites and see if I come up with anything, thanks again guys

The one on the left does seem to sit inboard a little further. I will see if I can dig up some pics of my car if it will help you. The tips come right to the bottom of the bumper, so that if you are looking straight down from the top, you can't see them.

Ok so I'll probably set the far drivers side tip in about 1/4" mabye a little less. My mock ups were offset 1/8" and it was close, but not perfect. I also had the tips 1/8" apart and would like to keep them really tight together. My muffler should be here on monday so hopefully I'll have the cash to order a box of bends this weekend and have everything finished up next weekend. I'll be sure to take lots of pics and hopefully some videos once its all finished up.

Thanks again for the help guys I appreciate it

^^^ My guess is that he is going to run a dual inlet dual outlet muffler. It won't be a real SLP 2OTL but it will be simulated.

I had 2OTL on my 97 SS. *flashback*

Thanks for all the pics guys.

I'm going to run the x pipe that I had before, but rather than running 1 pipe on each side I'm going to run both pipes down along side the driveshaft and up over the axle into a 4x9 daul in daul out magnaflow muffler. I got a really good deal on the muffler so I got that one, but I was trying to get the one with the bigger case to quiet it down a little more. Doesn't really matter its going to be alot quieter than before when I had bullets dumped.

I'm also going to paint the muffler and all of the piping black to its more stealthy and I'll be adding my 1.75" drop springs the same time I'll try to take lots of pics, but when I get in a zone working on stuff like this I usually don't stop for pics until its done.

Thanks again and wish me luck having clerence for everything LOL

IMO it would look alot better if they came straight out and didn't have the turndown ting going on.

Bends are ordered, 2-90*s, 2-45*s, and 2-180*s I'll get about 6 feet of straight pipe locally and that should do it. I already have 2-180*s sitting in my garage so hopefully it will be enough. Everything should be here by friday including my drop springs so I can make damn sure everything clears

Hopefully I'll have some pics during the week as stuff shows up and on the weekend after I make some progress

Well, I would just trim them back to being flush with the bumper. But that 94 T/A is damn clean looking. I dig the single side dual out.

I Totally agree, but IMO 2otl only looks good on 3rd gen Formula's. I'm ditching this set up for TD's Dumped since i can't afford the SLP CME :'(.

Yeah I want the CME too but I can't afford it, and IMO the next best looking exhauts out the back on a camaro is the 2otl. I'm also foing to paint all of the piping and tips black so it will be more hidden. I had dumps and liked them for reasons, but hated them for more such as drone, fumes, drone and did I mention drone LOL They were really loud too, and I'm trying to get something thats quieter.

Everything is suppost to be here by Friday at the latest so I should be able to make some good progress this weekend.

LebaneseShowoff I dont think thats a 2otl, or ay leat thosue tail pipes. The slash looks steeper, a rolled edge, and the downward bend. isnlt on the SLP ones.

acutully the mufflar case dosn't have a side seam. Yours dose, probally a like a magnaflow

edit: I have some pretty good pics I saved, I just put on on pbucket.

code of silence

My car thu the 2otl only loses 6peak whp over a open 4inch Ipipe. It make really good power too.

^^ Thanks again for the pics, I really appreciate them. But LebaneseShowoff didn't say it was an SLP kit, just his 2otl setup.

Muffler came in yesturday and its alot smaller than I was planning. Its a 4x9" case thats 17" long including the pipe stubs, case is actually only 13" long I think. I just hope its not too loud, but the sound will be behind me now rather than right under my *** LOL
