stock ypipe is 2.5"

the stock intermediate pipe is 2.75" behind the ypipe merge

were you gonna use 2 cutouts on the ypipe? or one on the I-pipe?

3" would be right for the I-pipe

Right under the rear passenger seat about 6 inches before the pipe runs up over the axle. It's probably the most common place for them if you have a manual cutout. I have an electric cutout and still put it there because I lost no ground clearance with it there.

the intermediate pipe runs between where the 2 sides of the ypipe join, and the muffler.

as stated, a 3" cutout, under the rear seat before the axle.

ideal location.

Follow the route of the pipe, before it takes a ~45* upswing to get over the axle, that is where most guys put theirs. If you lay on your back and look up, you can see the body of the car formed for the back seats. If you get under the car and have a good look you'll understand where everyone is talking about. Is that what you didn't quite understand?

Put it a little bfore where you said "put it here?". I would take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld it in. I took mine to a local meinike and they said they just did the same thing for a guy the week before. I got my y-pipe welded and the cutout installed and welded for $65 out the door.
