Question about 90mm intake manifold installation

First of all, Im still running the LS6 intake, and I will be until I do my head/cam swap. I remember reading something about there being a problem with the 90mm intake installation. I dont remember exactly what the problem was. Does the intake not sit flush on the heads or something? If Im wrong, then Id just like to know what is required for the install. Ive done many head/cam swaps so Im very familiar with how the intake comes on and off. I just wanted to know if the 90mm intakes need some kind of special attention. Thanks

the 90mm intake will come with thier intake valley bolts.oval flat allen head.

Be sure to change the valley bolts as mentioned. If not you will crack the bottom of your intake. Also, the crossover tube in the front of the heads will need to be gently tapped downward some as the neck of the intake will hit it if not.

The MAP sensor does not fit well; most use RTV to get it to sit right in it's cavity.

Yeah the map sensor was the worst part of it. We threaded ours, put in a barb fitting and then used some fuel line to hold the map better.

Hell with that...I can make all the power I need out of my LS6 intake. Thanks for the help fellas

By the way, is there anyone who ports LS6 intakes?

I think a place called LS2 Port works does. The Fast isn't bad to install, these are just some tips to avoid any potential problems.

i love my fast . done several intake installs and the fast was not much different .
as mentioned the sensor on the very back of the intake (map sensor) is a bit small for the hole fast provides . rtv silicaon gasket maker can take care of that . then the bolts for the valley cover an be purchased if they do not come with the intake .
as far as it mounting up good i have never had a problem . also you can port it out for some good gains .
