ATI Damper Installation
What is the best way to reinstall the Damper?
I bought ATI's Installer with the Installation Stud for the LS1. http://www.atiperformanceproducts.co...arts/index.htm
But not sure how to use it. Could I just use my ARP bolt to pull it on??

big hammer and a block of wood :-) I oiled up the crank and the inside of the dampner and beat mine (moved fairly easy) all the way in, then put the arp dampner bolt in with an impact gun.

I dont think the ARP bolt is long enuff to fully seat the damper. If the threads are correct on the install tool all you have to do is screw it in and then use the washer and nut and a big *** wrench to seat it. I usually use a impact to run it in and seat it. Just with a longer bolt and a washer with neverseize (Small amount) Some persons dont agree with this method but it has allways worked for me. Done this plently of times.
The installation stud isn't threaded all the way. So I can't use a nut. Its made to be used with the Puller.
I play with it more tomorrow.

I was having trouble with mine as well. I got the installer from 618hawk and it went right on. https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/391883-new-crank-dampener-installation-tool-pics.html
