It dependes on how big your cam is, my friend has almost the same mods as me and added just a 224 cam and put 402 to the wheels. Of course he didnt get it tuned. Its all in the tune IMO.

If you are only losing 5 hp over a cutout with the flowmaster i dont see why everyone says it flows that bad.

I had the Magnaflow and didn't like it, to each his own. I have heard and like the Hooker and it may be my next catback.

After using 100's of catbacks over the years, I feel Hooker is superior to the Magnaflow.

-Hooker is lighter
-Hooker flows as well (or better)
-Hooker is a tad cheaper
-Hooker isn't quite as raspy

The only downsides is it's not stainless steel. But are you going to keep your car for 20 yrs? That and the tips. Make sure to squirt a coat of clear on the tips before install, because they're known to tarnish.

The Hooker CB is my favorite of all the catbacks, and this is coming from someone who's installed every F-body catback under the sun since 1997. I've ran them on my personal vehicles for 5+ yrs at a time with no problems.

I bought my car with a Flowmaster catback on it and the first money mod I did was to buy a Hooker to replace it.

I love the Hooker CB paired with a Electric Cutout. It's quiet enough to pass a cop and not worry, loud when you romp on it and even louder when you open the cutout. I couldn't ask for anything more...

If you like loud CB this one may not be for you as normal light driving it isn't that loud

The hooker CB is anything but quiet in my car . I love mine, sound great, not expencive, and still looks like the day I bought it. Go for it.

I get compliments on my hooker all the time. It is relatively quiet with rpms down low and while my convertor is locked up but when I get on it she F'n roars. Virtually no interior drone too so I like that. On a stock motor it is about like the OEM just a different tone.

I like the way hooker sounds, but I had a magnaflow on my car, thought it was to quiet, replaced the muffler with a flowmaster, and never looked back, I love the way my car sounds and drives with the 228r.

+1

Also, a car that I tune went from 382rwhp to 399rwhp (dang that last missing HP!) losing the Flowmaster for the Hooker catback on the same dyno, same day. M6, DJ 248. I was effin shocked...

I've had the Borla on all mine but one, and that was this car which had a Magnaflow on it when I bought it. Sold it and installed a used Borla. I really like the Borla tips but I'm wondering what the difference would be vs Hooker (I run the next to wide open plate installed).

Hooker flows better, Flowmaster sounds better. Pick your poison. Personally, I'd never run a Flowmaster, but my brother's M6 car sounds a lot better with it than my M6 with the Hooker.

I agree on a stock motor. But H/C is totally different. When I ran my Hooker stock I would have never believed it could sound like this with mods in sig H/C/headers makes a huge difference

PS. I had Flowmaster 2 chamber B4 the Hooker. Stock the FM sounded better cause the Hooker was kinda mild.

Right. My wife was DD'ing the M6 car for awhile. I put on the Hooker when she was out of town and she never noticed any difference. Good point about the difference between stock/bolt-on vs. H/C. The Hooker really wakes up with a modded motor where the FM would be getting too loud.
