I currently have LT headers/True duals/Bullet mufflers. But I want it louder. Have any of your guys ran cutouts with TDs? If so, how was it?

IMO, LS1's sound like **** with open headers period. the only way they sound good, is with a lumpy cam at idle. anything over idle with any cam sounds like a herd of harleys coming down the road.

Put cutouts right off the freakin headers. Honestly though, LS1's sounds like a bag of *** with open pipe. Anything over idle sounds worse than a civic with a fart can on it.

thats what you think. i thought the same thing, i built my motor with an MS4 and some wild compression and it still sounds like ****, except for idle, where it sounds wicked awesome.

dont get me wrong, im still putting my cutouts on right after the collectors, but its purely for performance, not sound. i may not gain that much over my duals at the track, but i got them cheap.

yea, some spiral flows right off the headers with turn down's/outs would be louder and sound good. but it would probably draw unwanted attention (cops)

I have have some dynomax bullets i mount to the headers for when i goto the track and it is retarded loud. I definitally don't feel comfortable riding around town like that

couldn't of said it better myself. at idle, or WOT they sound badass open headers, anything else i think it sounds like a V6 trying to be a badass...

don, if you want it louder take the mufflers off, doesn't sound as shitty and increases sound by maybe 30-40 %.. i have TSP duals on mine and with mufflers off it sounds great at half throttle through the rpm ranges.

On my old 02 Z, I had two on my TSP duals and they were they mainly for the noise. yeah it did sound like *** at times but at idle I loved it(Futrul F13).
