Re: should i get a 160* stat ?? If you just change the Tstat you will run cooler when driving down the road but the same as before if you are sitting in traffic. I have the manual switch from SLP ($60)to turn the fans on manually because I'm too cheap to buy the programmer ($300)just to lower the settings in the PCM.

I have a question about your Fernco Bellow... how long have you had it, and have you had any cracking problems? how did you trim and cut it so it would not crack your lid. see my "Fernco Bellows?????" post in LS1 Enthusist. I have the Direct Flo lid, and im going to install the Fernco Bellow.

You put the end in very hot or boiling water for about 30 seconds and it becomes very soft and plyable (sp?) it went on and looks very clean. It is very thick rubber and I have had no cracking yet. It's my weekend driver so I don't drive but 2000 miles a year but it's been on since January and still looks good. It's a little harder to get the filter in/out but you can lift it just enough to do it. It's by far the cheapest mod so far next to the FRA which cost nothing........

Re: should i get a 160* stat ?? Yeah definitely get it-it will make you run cooler.I live in Texas and it helped me out quit a bit.BTW I ordered mine from Thunder but I beleive they get them from SLP.
