The ls1 and ls6 oil pumps are the exact same and as for the ls2 chain it should appear to be a lil thicker like previously mentioned.

so just went out and checked. 60 at startup and once it warmed up it was around 55.

No, it's not high. It's really only above 80 PSI that oil pressure becomes an issue.

If it's above 80 PSI during a pull I'd look into changing the spring for the relief setting, or cutting a couple coils out of the one in the pump.

I had REALLY high pressure in my 441 LSX. I was using a Melling high pressure and hihg volume pump and saw 130 PSI while running 20W50 on the dyno for break in. I pulled the pump, cut the spring and dropped to 5W30. It is still a little high on start up but never peaks over 80 PSI during a pull after the oil temp is above 200*.
