Where to get 3" Clamp?
Where to get 3" Clamp? Well 1st off, i have a custom Y Pipe on the car right now. I just received my BBK LT's & ORY this passed week and im going to have to cutout the custom Y which is at 3 inches & i believe the BBK ORY is 3inches after the merge.
I wanna try & do this myself, since it dont look very hard to do and this is the only problem i have at the moment. So where would i find a 3" clamp for this??? Advanced Auto, Autozone???? I just wanna clamp it on then drive it to the exhaust shop and have them weld it.

Band clamps are kind of expensive just for a drive to get it welded. I'd get a regular U type strap clamp from autozone or any parts store. 
A band clamp is a bit much for a short drive
But thats just my opinion. Hell if you got band clamps you wouldn't need to have anything welded. Thats what I did with mine in the pic below.

Oh ok, well **** i didnt think about that. I may just end up getting a band clamp and putting it on and that's it. Thanks for the heads up, wouldnt have thought about that till after i probably got it welded.
Be sure to get the right ones, I almost got the wrong ones.
Got mine from summit. There are two types, one type joins two pipes of the same diameter. The other type goes over a slip joint, you can see the one in the pic above has a step in it.
In other words even though you might have two 3" pipes to join the clamp you get depends on whether one is slipped into the other or not.

Yeaa i get what your saying, im gonna try & measure the pipes and see what i get. Then ill order the clamp from Summit.

what he said. if you get band clamps, you might as well not get it welded. and you can take it apart later if needed. but if your just taking it to get it welded, just get cheap u bolt clamps or just drive it with open headers to the shop and let them put it together and weld it.
