Default Exhaust too loud, suggestions please...

I have 1 3/4 LTs, 2 1/2 ORY, 18" dynomax bullet in a 3" I pipe, with a hooker muffler. I want to quite her down a little more. What mufflers are more quiet than the hooker? TIA.

Bryan

Ya, I am really tired of having to go to 3-4 different places to get my car inspected because I have to find the one place that doesnt look under my car and see I have no cats. I have heard that the new metallic spun cats do nothing for quieting the car down. Anyone running the new style cats that could comment on before and after install? I would like to get cats that do not restrict flow too much but will also quiet me down.

there is a chart, there is really nothing that flows well that is quieter then a hooker maxflow or a borla xs. But you have the aerochamber.

This is a case of be carefull of what you ask for, Do some reseach next time before you jump.. but as everyone as already stated..

Put on a High Flow Cat and switch to one of the suggested Muffler.. Even with the Cat added and the 3" pipe.. it will still be at a high noise level.

The old-style Magnaflow Carsound cats will help quiet it. They were known as "hi-flow" before the new spun metallic type were introduced. When I was putting together my system, Tim at EAD Performance (sponsor) told me that the spun metallic versions would not quiet the ORY. So I went with the Carsound style and they helped quite a bit.

Well, if you need cats anyways, do what everone says and get some high flow cats. Otherwise, you could swap the bullet muffler for a Moroso spiral flow. Its the same size, but quieter, and only cost $50

What about a resonator or a bullet that is between 8-10 long that would look like a cat? I measured the longest span of straight pipe on each side of my y-pipe and I only have between 8-10 inches before it curves.
